Hosted by the City of Miramar Sister City Board in collaboration with its Sister City Committee and BRIDGE 501, this vibrant celebration is set to become a symbol of Belizean culture, diaspora connection, international partnerships, and economic opportunity within the Miramar community.

This event serves not only as a celebration, but also as a platform for strengthening the historic Sister City relationship between Belize City and Miramar while creating meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration.

Attendees can expect an exciting lineup of Belizean cultural performances, culinary experiences, business networking opportunities, and the Belize Diaspora Immigration Hub, featuring passport services, nationality support, and vital records assistance designed to bring important government and community services directly to the diaspora.

Festival Overview

MIRAMAR Belize DAY is a first-of-its-kind cultural festival celebrating Belizean heritage, diaspora connection, and international partnerships through the historic Sister City relationship between Belize City and Miramar. The event aims to unite communities while promoting culture, tourism, economic opportunity, and meaningful engagement across generations.

Key attractions include Belizean cultural performances, live entertainment, authentic cuisine, local and international vendors, business networking opportunities, cultural showcases, and the Belize Diaspora Immigration Hub featuring passport, nationality, and vital records services for the diaspora community.

BRIDGE 501 values and respects your privacy. Information collected through registrations, sponsorships, vendor applications, and event participation forms for MIRAMAR Belize DAY may include names, contact information, business details, and other information voluntarily submitted by participants.

Information collected is used solely for event coordination, communication, registration management, sponsorship administration, and related event activities. Information may be shared with authorized event partners, participating organizations, and collaborating entities directly involved in the planning and execution of the event when necessary.

BRIDGE 501 does not sell or distribute personal information to unrelated third parties. Reasonable measures are taken to safeguard submitted information; however, users acknowledge that electronic data transmission may carry inherent risks.

By participating, registering, or submitting information through this platform, users consent to the collection and use of information for event-related purposes.

Liability Waiver

By registering for, attending, sponsoring, exhibiting, volunteering, or participating in MIRAMAR Belize DAY, participants acknowledge and agree that participation is voluntary and undertaken at their own risk.

Participants release and hold harmless BRIDGE 501, the City of Miramar Sister City Board, its Sister City Committee, event partners, sponsors, affiliates, volunteers, venue representatives, and participating organizations from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, accidents, or expenses arising from participation in the event or related activities.

Participants assume responsibility for their personal property, health, safety, and conduct while attending or participating in the event. Participants further acknowledge and consent to the use of photographs, video recordings, and media captured during the event for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes without compensation.

By completing registration or participating in the event, participants confirm acceptance of these terms and acknowledge they have read and understand this waiver.

Refund Policy (if applicable)

MIRAMAR Belize DAY is a community-driven initiative organized in collaboration with nonprofit and community partners. Unless otherwise stated, registrations, sponsorships, donations, and vendor payments are considered final and non-refundable.

Refund requests for exceptional circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of event organizers. Approved refunds, if applicable, may be subject to administrative or payment processing fees.

In the event of cancellation, postponement, or unforeseen circumstances beyond the organizers’ control, BRIDGE 501 and its event partners reserve the right to modify event details, reschedule programming, or provide alternative accommodations where feasible.

Cancellation Policy

MIRAMAR Belize DAY organizers reserve the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, or cancel any portion of the event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, public safety concerns, venue issues, government directives, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.

Registered attendees, vendors, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and participants who choose to cancel their participation are encouraged to provide advance notice to event organizers whenever possible. Sponsorships, donations, and vendor commitments may remain subject to the event Refund Policy and any applicable agreements.

Event organizers further reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke participation if actions are determined to disrupt the event, compromise safety, or conflict with the mission, policies, or standards of the event and its organizing partners.

Insurance

MIRAMAR Belize DAY organizers maintain the right to require vendors, exhibitors, contractors, performers, or participating organizations to maintain appropriate insurance coverage where applicable. Participants may be required to provide proof of general liability insurance or other coverage as determined necessary by event organizers or venue requirements.

Participants are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any insurance coverage related to their participation, including coverage for personal property, equipment, business operations, travel, or liability exposure.

BRIDGE 501, the City of Miramar Sister City Board, its Sister City Committee, and affiliated event partners assume no responsibility for loss, theft, damage, injury, or uninsured claims arising from participation in the event.

Attendees can expect traditional and contemporary cultural presentations including Belizean music, Garifuna drumming, Mayan cultural performances, dancers, live entertainment, community showcases, and special guest appearances.

MIRAMAR Belize DAY will feature a vibrant Vendor and Cultural Marketplace designed to showcase Belizean products, cuisine, businesses, artisans, tourism experiences, and community organizations. Vendors will have the opportunity to engage with attendees from across South Florida and the broader Belizean diaspora while promoting products, services, and cultural experiences.

Vendor categories may include food and beverage vendors, artisans, tourism and hospitality partners, cultural exhibitors, nonprofit organizations, health and community resources, business services, and specialty retail products.

Limited vendor spaces will be available and placement may be assigned based on category, sponsorship participation, event logistics, and operational needs. Additional details regarding booth sizes, setup requirements, registration procedures, and participation guidelines will be shared upon confirmation.

Interested vendors are encouraged to apply early, as space is expected to be limited.
